There are plenty of ways to reflect on a year, but as someone who draws every day of the school year I thought I’d share some of my favorite #napkinart pieces from 2014. For those unaware, I draw my kids’ favorite characters (sometimes of all time, sometimes of that very momenty) for their school lunches. […]
It’s been far too long since I completed a design, and I’ve had this one in the back of my mind for quite some time. Combining the iconic Uncle Sam recruitment poster and some of the themes from the upcoming “Hyrule Warriors” title, I’m happy to present “Recruitment.” This one took a good amount of […]
I’m excited to announce that just four days separate us from my next show, featuring new pieces like the one posted above! I’m one of two artists showing work at Sole to Soul, 535 S. “Space. It seems to go on forever. But then you get to the end and the gorilla starts throwin’ barrels at you.” Well, maybe that’s the wrong reference, but you get my drift. I had seen a few of these Donkey Kong spoofs done well in the past, but the obvious one never revealed itself […]
I introduced my daughter, for whom the Napkin Art was first created, to Earthbound and she loves it. Like father, like daughter. So one of my personal favorite Nintendo games, Earthbound, has now made its Napkin Art debut.
As part of the Napkin Art that I create for my daughter’s school lunches, I did a series of mashups between Nintendo characters and The Avengers…
Funny story behind this mashup…
